Shakira is a Healthcare AI Executive and Oncologist who works toward ensuring ethical AI integration in healthcare. Shakira is currently the CEO of CROSS Global Research and Strategy, a consultancy advancing equitable, AI-powered health innovation and an accompanying education program called CARE AI. Shakira is also the founder of GrantLab, a research lab focused on health equity and cancer care access. Shakira has also worked with the US House of Representatives as a Health Policy Advisor to the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee, advising congressional leaders on AI governance, Medicare policy, and oncology-related digital health legislation.
