A self-described nerdy area dad, Allen is an open source veteran and tech leader who has spent the past 25 years working at the intersection of technology, entertainment, and social good. A former motion picture professional, Allen led digital transformation efforts for government and social service agencies and went on to help build developer communities around GitHub and WordPress. He currently lives in Charlotte, NC where he leads US Developer Relations for Umbraco. In his free time, he enjoys making music, being outdoors, and tinkering.
