Michael Brantley began his career developing, porting and curating public domain software at Princeton. He was recruited into the D. E. Shaw group in ‘95 and has since served in a variety of roles including that of Global Head of Systems for the Financial Products division and Quant Systems Manager responsible for Build and Release Engineering. It was in this capacity that he recognized Nix’s potential to revolutionize the software development lifecycle at D. E. Shaw, and built the required abstraction layer required to bring Nix to the enterprise. Now he is CTO at Flox, where his mission is to bring Nix to the world.
