AlmaLinux OS is an enterprise Linux operating system used across the globe by people and organizations that need a stable operating system that’s free and doesn’t require a license. This includes everything from non-profit organizations to fortune 500 companies; from hobbyists managing their home automation to supercomputers expanding our understanding of the universe, and everything in between. As the first downstream RHEL-compatible operating system to be released after the announcement that support for CentOS Linux was ending, and our goal is to provide a stable, long-term option for folks who have historically used CentOS Linux, and for whom CentOS Stream is not an option. The AlmaLinux OS Foundation is a 501(c)(6) non-profit entity created as the central collaboration point for everything to do with AlmaLinux, and for the benefit of the AlmaLinux OS community.
